100 years of Chevrolet
In 1911, Louis Chevrolet was working on a new six-cylinder-engine and created the „Classic Six“ for the newly founded Chevrolet Motor Car Company. It was a luxurious touring sedan. But Louis‘ business partner William C. Durant wanted an economic and simple car to compete with the Ford T-Models.
Durant finally got his way, and Louis Chevrolet parted, leaving his name with the company. As one oft he most successful carmakers, Chevy would soon belong to american households like baseball, hot dogs and apple pie. Today, Chevy is a global brand, growing fast in different markets all over the world and attracting new buyers especially in the Far East.
